Probiotics are the ‘good bacteria’ that help regulate normal, healthy digestive function. Lack of good bacteria can result in several digestive ailments. Regular boosting and replacement after certain illnesses and medications is important to keep digestive health on target. Antibiotics, while necessary for certain infections, destroy the good bacteria in our system. Therefore replacement is especially important after taking antibiotics.
